A super version of the song tethers. I re-recorded it with Matt Glassmeyer (of meadownoise, lambchop, hands off cuba, etc) and asked Lindsay Johns (of nudity, etc.) to add vocals in order to accompany a video made by Jeffery Stanfill ( vimeo.com/84859103 ). The song itself was inspired by watching Carl Sagan's The Cosmos billions and billions of times.
I am stardust descended down. I am born of the trampled ground. I am known by what I displace. a hundred thousand rings of light all tangled up in flames, underneath my window paine where the cold wind blows. I have no name I have not made. It is a game I cannot play. It is almost a riddle in disguise. a hundred thousand rings of light all tangled up inflames underneath my window paine where the cold wind blows.

These experimental electronic songs, half of which stretch past the 10-minute mark, evolve slowly and with purpose, building incrementally to climaxes as intuitive as they are thrilling. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 13, 2020
